Young forest restorers for the Global Action Days 2025

As part of the FEE LEAF network and our eTwinning project “It’s all connected”, our 4thGrade students took their knowledge beyond the classroom to give back to nature, putting their learning into action.

As a first step, they took part in a tree-planting action organised by the Municipality of Thessaloniki in the suburban forest of Triandria.

The next step is an awareness campaign for forest restoration methods coming at the end of May! The students have already created leaflets, posters and other materials to use in their campaign, aiming to engage both local and European school communities in sustainable forest practices.

The activities are designed with an inclusive approach, promoting collaborative learning, diverse thinking and real-world connections in line with the learning outcomes of our Erasmus+ Accreditation Plan 2023-1-EL01-KA120-SCH-000190187.

They build on prior knowledge and activate a variety of cognitive functions, helping every students to grow just like the trees they planted.
