Publication of our students’ stories
As part of the implementation of our Erasmus+ KA2 project “Change your life, open your mind” in 2018-2019, the students of the 6th Grade took part in the 22nd National Student Contest on “A Home Away From Home“ launched by the UNHCR in Greece.
Our students, driven by their constant engagement with the refugee crisis, their concern about the fate of refugee children as well as the refugee education programmes we run in our school, wrote stories and created comics with great excitement for their participation in the competition. Two of the stories were published in the special issue Πουλιά Αποδημητικά (“Migratory Birds”) of the nationwide newspaper “Εφημερίδα των Συντακτών” on Saturday the 21st November.
The students were constantly and rigorously supported by their class teacher Paraskevi Lazaridou and their English teacher Athena Malea (coordinator of the Erasmus+ project).
